A homeless man suspected in the murder of a 67-year-old unidentified victim was arrested mere hours after police issued alerts for civilians to be on the lookout last week, police said Monday.

Kenneth Sandlin, 58, is suspected in the murder of a 67-year-old man after police believe he was involved in a noisy disagreement and the man was found dead from blunt-force trauma.

Sandlin, arrested Friday around 10 p.m., remained in custody Monday night on more than $1 million bail for murder and various probation suspensions.

Police said further details, including the victim’s name, would be released as they continue to build the case surrounding Sandlin’s suspected involvement in the homicide.
