Monstrous sight planned for Friday

It could get creepy and crawly at the Lions Town and Country Park amphitheater with this Friday’s showing of “Monster’s University.”

The Pixar-animated sequel to “Monsters Inc.” features the voices of Billy Crystal as one-eyed Mike Wazowski and John Goodman as that furry behemoth James P. “Sully” Sullivan.

The weekly Movie in the Park will start at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m., with the concession stand opening one hour earlier. Proceeds from the concession benefit the Madera Parks and Community Services Department’s youth activity programs and activities.

Like the movie, parking is free, and is available at the 2301 Howard Road lot directly adjacent to the Allen Harkins Amphitheater and near Mainberry Drive...
