A developmentally disabled Madera man missing since New Year’s Eve has been found safe and was returned to his worried sister early Friday morning.
The 56-year-old man, Sabas Dela Cerda, had walked away without a word from his home in the 500 block of Clinton Street.
Police said it was still a mystery how he survived four nights, probably alone in freezing conditions — without money, food, shelter or even a coat in downtown Fresno, where he was found.
