MID water season begins Monday

Madera Irrigation District will begin its water season operations Monday and wants to remind growers of rules and regulations.

The district’s operations department must be notified not less than three days in advance of the time requested for a water order start. If water is available, it may be delivered earlier than the three-day notice period.

The first water order of the year must be placed directly through the district’s operation department by calling 673-9241 in order for the best service possible, the district said in a press release.

MID has completed various facilities maintenance projects that will result in more efficient water delivery to its customers, the release said. The price for crop water is $72.50 per acre foot...
