FRESNO — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California plan to celebrate its “Bigs” and “Littles” at an annual holiday party Saturday at Blackbeard’s Family Entertainment Center in Fresno with gifts from Toys for Tots and catering by Panda Express.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California is a one-to-one mentoring program in Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Kern counties. Volunteers spend 3 to 4 hours each week for at least a year interacting, having fun, and helping to explore the dreams of children involved in the program.

The gathering will be able to host 100 children, their adult mentors, and their families at Blackbeard’s, 4055 N. Chestnut Diagonal, from 2 to 5 p.m. Program participants and those interested in volunteering are welcome to attend.

Big Brothers Big Sisters staff will facilitate the afternoon’s activities...
