Six children, whose parents visit Madera Community Hospital often, were treated to an afternoon Christmas party where they played, received gifts, ate lunch and heard the Christian Nativity story.
The children and their families were selected to attend the hospital’s annual Family Adoption Holiday Party by Patricia Jay, who is the director of the Children’s Visitor Center.
“The reason these families come here is because of the Children’s Visitor Center. They can go anywhere else, but they come here because this is where they get child care. So for me this is our way of saying, ‘Thank you for being our clients here at the hospital,’” said Jay.
