Donations are needed
For 11 years the Ronald McDonald House Central Valley has provided a “home away from home” for the families of children who are being treated at Valley hospitals.
But the house, which is filled to capacity each night and has many more families on a waiting list, will need to be expanded soon to keep up with demand.
“We used to have five families on the waiting list on a bad night, now it’s like 20,” said marketing director Hannah Johnson.
Most of the families who stay at the house have children who are being treated at the adjacent Children’s Hospital Central California. But anyone with a child under 21 who is being treated at any area hospital is eligible to stay at the house...
