A man wanted in Fresno for battery was arrested at Eastman Lake during a routine boating check by sheriff’s deputies.

Anthony Thomas, 39, of Fresno was arrested about 3 p.m. Sunday after he and a group of men were reportedly found fishing from his boat in a restricted area of the lake.

Deputies arrested him after learning he was wanted on a $10,000 warrant for domestic violence, Madera County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Erica Stuart said.

Thomas was booked into Madera County jail without incident, where he remained as of Monday afternoon.
