Man tries to abduct child in Raymond

Madera County Sheriff John Anderson is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who attempted to abduct a child waiting for his school bus in Raymond on Monday morning.

According to reports, the boy was approached by a stranger around 7:55 a.m. as he waited for the bus near Road 613.

The man is described as Hispanic, about 45 to 55 years old and was driving a 1970’s model burgundy four-door Mercedes. His description was verified by an adult who saw the same car and driver in the area.
