Police suspect incident at AM/PM is gang related
A man was shot multiple times at close range on Gateway Drive and Yosemite Avenue, according to Madera police.
Sgt. Gino Chiaramonte said the shooting happened about 11:10 Saturday night as the victim was sitting in the passenger’s seat of a tan, late-model Mercedes, in the crowded parking lot of the AM/PM convenience store and gas station.
Police are not releasing the name of the victim, but said he is in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
