3 suspects flee with his cash

A north Madera man was assaulted and robbed by a masked man as he returned to his home on Road 30 1/2 near Sunnyside Avenue, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart said the man was returning early Sunday with a friend about 2 a.m. when they heard voices and found at least three strangers inside his home.

The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the man’s wallet after striking and overpowering him.

One of the suspects is described as a heavyset male, roughly 6 feet tall, dressed in all black and was wearing a black mask with a red bandana to hide his face, Stuart said...
