Man convicted of stealing farm trailer

A 52-year-old Mendota man was convicted on grand theft charges after he stole a farm trailer in Madera County, District Attorney Michael Keitz said Monday.

A Madera Superior Court Jury convicted Lorenzo Ramos on Friday of stealing the trailer the morning of Jan. 11 from an equipment yard on Avenue 6.

A farm employee witnessed the theft and called the sheriff’s department. Deputies arrested Ramos and recovered the stolen property within minutes, according to reports.
