A 28-year-old Madera man was arrested Tuesday after Madera County Narcotic Enforcement Team (MADNET) agents found him with $3,000 worth of methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and $800 cash, according to Erica Stuart, spokeswoman for Madera County Sheriff John Anderson.
MADNET agents, Madera Police officers and Madera County sheriff’s deputies served Jesus Santiago Mendoza a search warrant shortly after dawn at a home on Avenue 15 near Road 28 1/2.
Mendoza reportedly tried to flush some of the drugs down the toilet before agents entered the home. MADNET had received a tip that Mendoza may have been using the home to stash narcotics and sell them in Madera Stuart said.
Mendoza posted his $25,000 bond shortly after 2 p.m. Monday. He is scheduled to appear in Madera County Superior Court at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 11...
