A North Fork man suspected of dealing drugs was arrested after deputies discovered he was wanted for failing to pay child support, the Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Arthur Helmic, 44, was arrested Thursday in Oakhurst.
Deputies were sent to a shopping center parking lot after receiving a tip that a man was there selling drugs.
Deputies did not find any drugs on Helmic. He was wanted on a $10,000 warrant and was booked in Madera County jail for failure to pay child support. He posted bail shortly after his booking.
