Central Valley walkers raised more than $32,000 on Saturday for Mothers Against Drunk Driving at the annual Walk Like MADD 5K held at Woodward Park in Fresno.
More than a thousand people showed up at the walk to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and to raise funds to help MADD in its mission to stop drunk driving.
Many of the walkers knew someone or were related to someone who had been killed by a drunk driver. Others, including several law enforcement officials, walked in support of those families.
