A Madera Superior Court jury has convicted Marcos Palomar of four felony counts of sexual assault on a child, under the age of 14, according to county District Attorney Michael R. Keitz.
Senior Deputy DA Sally Moreno presented evidence at trial that Palomar, 32, of Madera, repeatedly molested a child between 2011 and 2012. Following the last abuse, the child reported the events to school officials who contacted the police.
Palomar was then arrested and charged with the crimes.
Palomar, who was convicted Feb. 14, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 15 in the Madera Superior Court. He faces up to 41 years to life in state prison for the four felony convictions.
