Madera vendors to compete for regional food award

Four Madera County-based products — a mango-flavored white wine, a full-bodied balsamic vinegar, an organic rice-and-bulgar chip, and a smooth blonde ale — are vying for “likes.”

Their producers are pitting the new products up against 40 other products from 31 other San Joaquin Valley-based industry trendsetters to win the Fresno Food Expo’s People’s Choice Award.

Producers could enter new products or existing products that were packaged in new ways, expo organizers said.
