In a public service announcement heard on various radio stations this month, Madera County Sheriff John Anderson advises Valley residents on how to not be a victim of thefts and burglaries.
During the holiday shopping season, Anderson used media outlets and printed a flyer to offer tips for keeping residents and their belongings safe from thieves — but those words of wisdom are valuable all year long, said sheriff’s department spokeswoman Erica Stuart.
“The message shouldn’t be ignored once Christmas ends,” she said. “In fact, these are tips that Sheriff John advises we adhere (to) all year, which helped prompt the ...PSA.”
