A Madera High School senior took top honors in an area speech contest held by local Rotary clubs.
Azka Fayyaz won for her speech addressing Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self and caring for others.
The competition at the Madera Municipal Golf Course on Feb. 7 saw winners of the Chowchilla, Madera and Madera Sunrise Rotary club contests compete to move on to the district competition.
