Madera High grad an Eagle Scout

Madera High School graduate Aaron Johnson of Boy Scout Troop 117 has received his Eagle Scout Award, the highest ranking in the organization.

Johnson earned 33 merit badges and served in several leadership positions in his troop during the 12 years he’s been a Boy Scout. During his Scouting career he also received the Ad Alteri Dei religious award.

For his Eagle Scout project, Johnson made two chicken coops for the Madera County Animal Shelter. He developed the entire project, from planning and getting donations to being a leader in carrying out the project with the help of his troop and family.

Johnson received donations from 84 Lumber, Lennar Homes, Kenyan Plastering, Home Depot-Madera, Home Depot-Clovis, Lowes-Madera, Lowes-River Park and from his grandfather, CD Johnson...
