A 1997 Madera High School graduate has been awarded a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Iowa.
Nicholas Fred Martini is the son of Jim and Joann Martini and son-in-law of Kent and Lorie Jandt, all of Madera. He is married to Dr. Sarina Martini, who is in her second year of residency at the University of Minnesota, where the couple currently resides. They have two children — Gianna, 4, and Avery, 1 1/2.
Martini graduated in 2002 from California State University, Fresno, where he was a Sid Craig Scholar, with a bachelor’s degree in international business and political science. He received his master’s in political science from Fresno State in 2005.
