The second round of a San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control Board grant program that replaces mobile agricultural equipment that doesn’t meet new pollution standards is set to open Oct. 15.

Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications will be accepted beginning Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the air district’s Fresno office.

“The response we received to the initial funding cycle demonstrated a real need for this incentive,” said Samir Sheikh, the air district’s grants program director.
