Growing up in Modesto, Jason Khan had a favorite place to go to while he and his high school buddies were looking for a place to eat.

While attending Fresno State, Khan looked for that place and found Fresno was devoid of it. He decided to do what anybody else would do in his situation — open one himself.

The chicken wings and Wingstop lover switched from studying biology and plans of becoming a doctor to getting a bachelor’s in human resources and entrepreneurship.

“That’s how I got into the business — by eating at Wingstop so often,” Khan said. “It’s been great. I don’t regret any of it. When you enjoy doing something so much, it seems like so much less work. I enjoy the product so much. I eat there every other day.” ...
