Longtime Madera Realtor Nora Salazar dies at 77

Lenora “Nora” Salazar, a longtime real estate professional and community leader in Madera, died Saturday at the age of 77 after a brief illness.

Salazar was the owner of Nora & Associates Realty, where she worked with her daughter, Rosanne Bonilla, and grandson Daniel Bonilla.

She had been in real estate for more than 18 years, and opened her own office in 1995 to help Spanish-speaking clients navigate the home purchasing process.

Salazar was part of Madera’s Latinas Unidas, a nonprofit group dedicated to uniting and bettering the lives of Latina women. She served as the organization’s secretary and eventually became its president...
