Local resident celebrates her 99th birthday

The family of Lois Murray Richardson joined her on Nov. 21 to celebrate her 99th birthday. She is the last remaining daughter of six children of the late Superior Court Judge Stanley Murray and his wife Vina, who was a native of San Francisco.

Lois was born in Oakhurst, Calif., on Nov. 21, 1913. She was a year old when her father decided to return to Madera with his family.

She attended Pershing School, Lincoln School and graduated from Madera High School in 1932.

Lois was married to her late husband, Farras D. Richardson, for 63 years. He worked for Pacific Gas & Electric Company for 37 years as a line foreman...
