According to the U.S. military, Navy Reserve Petty Officer 2nd Class Jennifer Molina of Madera played a “vital role” in mobilizing 500 Reserve Seabees from the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 28 for deployment while stationed at Navy Mobilization Processing Site Port Hueneme.

Seabees are members of the Naval Construction Force, deployed worldwide on humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.

Molina’s processing team administratively screened the entire battalion.

Molina herself returned from service in Afghanistan last spring and mobilized again in April. She is the daughter of Tony and Anita Molina of Madera. She is a 1987 graduate of Madera High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 from the University of Phoenix, Fresno.
