Local band performing ‘Concert for Bosnia’

A local band hoping to raise funds to help a charitable organization focused on aiding people in a southeastern European country is set to host its annual free concert on July 22.

Change of Heart, which plays rock, praise and worship, has been helping Help is on the Way, a nonprofit organization headed by Jane Wiebe, provide food, clothing and medical supplies for the people of Bosnia for six years.

Wiebe, however, has set out to help the formerly war-ravaged country every year for nearly two decades.

She was moved to do it when she met and got to know four soldiers who were brought to Madera by local doctors, said Lou Wiebe, her husband and lead singer for Change of Heart...
