Local artists to take part in Fresno Art Hop

Several Madera County artists have been invited to participate in a show titled “Transparency” at Chris Sorensen’s Gallery, starting today as part of the first Thursday Fresno Art Hop.

Together with artists from other areas, sculptors Norma Rogers and Jannai Pero, mixed media artists Jon Bock, Ramona Frances and Kris Kessey, glass artist Toby Raetz and art teacher Adam Mena will have work represented there.

Former Madera County residents Adam Longetti, Joyce Wycoff and Carol Hendrickson will also show work.

Art educator and curator Ed Gillum of Fresno State University was inspired to create the show around the idea of having something transparent such as a picture or design on glass or some translucent substance affected by light moving through it...
