Two Madera lighting companies launched an iPhone application last week at an annual international lighting trade show and convention.
B-K Lighting and TEKA Illumination partnered to create LIGHTWHERE, an application that allows lighting designers, architects, consulting engineers and manufacturers to share photos of their completed lighting projects for inspiration.
The app, available for free on iPhones and iPads, can be used to upload images and basic information about lighting projects. Users can then search the database by location or the product category such as floodlights or sign lights.
“It’s a tool that will allow lighting designers to send their clients photos of what other things can be done and what has been done with lighting fixtures and how it’s been installed,” said Becky Carlson, B-K Lighting’s marketing manager. “We’re looking for people to upload their projects so they can share them.” ...
