Liberty senior earns Eagle Scout rank

A senior at Liberty High School in the Madera Ranchos will be honored Saturday for earning his Eagle Scout ranking, the highest in the Boy Scouts of America organization.

A ceremony will be held to honor Daniel Hernandez in the Ranchos Middle School auditorium at 12455 Road 35 1/2.

In achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, Hernandez earned 32 merit badges. He served in several leadership positions in Troop 118 of Madera Ranchos, including that of senior patrol leader.

In 2011, Hernandez was one of five Scouts in the Catholic diocese of Fresno to receive the Ad Altare Dei religious award...
