The fallout from the fiscal crisis facing the state’s public schools has hit the central office of Madera Unified School district. One of the district’s two chief academic officers and its public information officer found themselves victims of the district’s attempt to keep its financial head above water.
The MUSD board of trustees voted at its regular meeting Tuesday to eliminate both positions on June 30.
Privacy issues prevented MUSD from naming the two district officials during the meeting; however, in the case of the public information officer, identification required no inside information. The district only has one PIO — Jake Bragonier.
