Lane, ramp closures for highway

To finish up the last legs of construction in rehabilitation of a 3.6-mile section of State Route 99 through Madera, intermittent lane and ramp closures will be necessary next week during night hours, the California Department of Transportation said Friday.

Monday through Friday, the north and southbound number two lanes — colloquially known as the slow lanes — will face closures from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

When needed, the following northbound ramps could be closed: SR 145 on-ramp; H street on-ramp; Cleveland on and off ramps; and the 16th street on-ramp, the press release said.

Caltrans said the following southbound ramps may be closed as well: both 16th street ramps; both Cleveland ramps; the I street off-ramp; the 4th street on-ramp and both Highway 145 ramps...
