A Madera County jury Wednesday continued to deliberate the fate of a Madera man accused of driving under the influence and killing two of his passengers in a crash two years ago.
Richard Eugene Farias, 57, a repeat DUI offender charged with two counts of second-degree murder, was allegedly driving drunk at 110 miles per hour on Nov. 13, 2010, when he lost control of his 1994 Jaguar XJ6 on Avenue 14.
The car rolled eight times before landing on its wheels in an alfalfa field, according to California Highway Patrol officers.
