JBT FoodTech recognizes longtime employees

A local manufacturing employer recognized 30 of its workers for their time and service to the company.

The John Bean Technologies Corporation in Madera hosted its annual luncheon at the Madera Golf & Country Club. About 105 employees were in attendance and watched as longtime employees were honored with speeches and pre-chosen gifts. Time dedicated to the company ranged from five years — one third of those honored have been there that long — to one 40-year JBT FoodTech veteran.

Pat Gordon, the human resources manager, introduced the honorees and their supervisors after a chicken and tri-tip meal on Friday.

With their combined total, the 2013 JBT FoodTech Service Award recipients have contributed 430 years of work to the company, said Gordon. The longest-running honoree was Michael Percy. Gordon introduced him and his supervisor at the culmination of the gathering...
