Talk show host Jay Leno will perform live standup comedy at Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino today, 10 years after his last local appearance.

Before Leno became NBC’s host of the top-rated “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” he honed his comedy in clubs all over the country, often exceeding 300 dates per year. After moving to Los Angeles, he began his career in television and films both writing behind the scenes and making appearances on shows such as “Welcome Back, Kotter” and films including “American Hot Wax.”

On March 2, 1977, Leno made his first appearance on “The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson” and was named permanent guest host in 1987. While he took over the desk full time in 1992, Leno never stopped touring on the comedy circuit and still averages over 150 gigs a year.

Tickets for the show start as low as $45 and are available at the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino Gallery Boutique. Gold reserved tickets are $65, Silver reserved tickets are $55 and general admission is $45. All guests with a Players Club Rewards Card can save $5 off the ticket price at the Gallery Boutique. Doors open an hour before show time...
