An annual march in Madera’s streets to denounce drug use drew about 200 people Saturday.
The March Against Meth was organized by Ryan McWherter, the executive director of the Madera County Food Bank. New Harvest Christian Fellowship organized the Love Madera event that followed at Courthouse Park, where nearly 400 people attended.
County, city and religious leaders spoke before attendees. Food was also provided. Bands performed and speakers addressed the crowd. Agencies and organizations offered information about their services.
