Holiday wine trail set for Saturday, Sunday

The annual Holiday Spirit Weekend will feature two new wineries on the trail and patrons can save $10 if they buy tickets by Friday.

Pacific Crest Winery, 33137 Ave. 9, and Fasi Estate Winery, 42415 Road 208 in O’Neals, have joined the Madera Vintners Association’s Madera Wine Trail, which includes 10 other wineries in Madera, Oakhurst and Friant.

The 2012 Holiday Spirit Weekend, set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, will include local award-winning wines, food, gifts, art, music and other entertainment. The association encourages people to get into the holiday spirit by tasting wines and shopping for gifts. Many participating wineries plan to offer special discounts on their wines during the event.
