Head of mentor agency leaves

The executive director of Big Brothers Big Sister of Central California, an organization devoted to facilitating mentor relationships for young people, has stepped down.

“Richard (Lord) was the right person, at the right time, and we never skipped a beat during the transition,” said Board President Craig Fourchy.

Lord is a longtime board member and began serving as executive director early in 2012.

Board member Cathi Huerta volunteered to be its interim executive director until a permanent replacement is selected. She was previously director of the Department of Social Services for Fresno County and a founder of The Children's Movement of Fresno County...
