Head-on collision hurts woman

A driver alleged to be under the influence of methamphetamine and alcohol caused a head-on collision on Country Club Drive near Tanforan Drive, and sent a pregnant woman to the hospital with injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. Saturday as the woman was heading home and sitting in the center lane of Country Club Drive waiting to turn.

Adan Rodriguez Calderon, 28, of Madera was arrested on multiple felony charges of drug possession, drug sales, and suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine — with bodily injury.

Calderon, who sustained only minor cuts and bruises, was not seriously injured in the collision...
