Once the Liberty Hawks put the final touches on a 28-0 victory over Kerman last week, the team shifted its focus to tonight’s regular season finale with the Chowchilla Redskins.

Tonight’s game between the top two teams in the North Sequoia League will determine the North Sequoia League championship. The Redskins come into tonight’s game undefeated through four games in the NSL while the Hawks are 3-1.

“There’s so much talk about getting into the playoffs and getting to the Division V playoffs, the league title gets downplayed,” head coach Mike Nolte said. “It’s a big deal, though. To accomplish something this school hasn’t done in the NSL is a big accomplishment for our team.”

The Hawks rebounded against Kerman with a dominating performance on both sides of the football. They limited Kerman to 156 yards of offense while Liberty’s offense doubled the total with a balanced 313 yards...
