It took a little more than two minutes for the Liberty Hawk girls soccer team to show its dominance over the SouthBakersfield Rebels with a 4-0 victory in the quarterfinals of the Division IV playoffs.

Jordan Moineau scored just 2:20 into the match and the top-seeded Hawks dominated the rest of the way over No. 8 South.

“We got the quick goal, which is nice no matter who you are playing,” head coach Ed Benavente said. “It’s always nice to get the win. These teams can be dangerous because you don’t know what to expect.”

The Hawks will next host No. 4 Kingsburg — who defeated No. 5 Bakersfield Christian in overtime Friday — on Tuesday at Liberty...
