Organizers and parishioners of a two-day church festival over the weekend agreed that this year’s turnout was higher than last year, although there was no official count.

The Harvest Festival, in the schoolyard of St. Joachim Elementary School, drew more than 2,000 people on Saturday and about the same on Friday, said committee member Sally Bomprezzi.

“It’s kind of hard to tell because we’ve kind of spread it out and set it up,” she said.

There were seven food vendors, a farmer’s market, the Knights of Columbus sold beer and parent volunteers from St. Joachim Elementary School ran game booths...
