Born in 1916 at the Faso Ranch on Road 29, 2006 Senior Farmer Charles Faso grew up farming with parents Vince and Grace Faso in Madera.

A 1935 graduate of Madera Union High School, Faso has grown grapes, cotton, alfalfa, corn, tomatoes, pears, apricots and kiwis. He also raised chickens, pigs, sheep and goats.

Faso was a member of the Madera County Farm Bureau beginning in 1945 and a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1981. He served on the Madera County Grand Jury, the Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Association board and was on the charter board of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Faso was on the American Club board of directors, class of 1935 reunion committee and was part of the Young Men’s Institute of St. Joachim’s Catholic Church and the Italian Catholic Federation...
