Funds to pay for Camp Fire USA activities
A local boys and girls service club is set to sell 200 dinners to raise funds for its activities.
The Camp Fire USA Heart of California Council plans to hold its annual tri-tip dinner sale in the parking lot of First Christian Church, 2300 Sunset Ave., from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday.
Tickets cost $30 and there’s about 20 left, said Camp Fire Executive Director Daiquiri Lara. The good-to-go bagged dinners will include a whole tri-tip, beans and a loaf of French bread.
The event funds activities throughout the year, Lara said. “One hundred percent of the profit stays with the Madera youth club members and our Heart of California Council." ...
