A former Raymond school board member and the town’s former postmaster has been chosen as the Grand Marshal for the 27th annual Raymond Parade.
Regina Harlow Taber will lead the parade Saturday as hundreds are expected to converge on the tiny foothill community 30 miles from Madera for a celebration, mountain style.
Taber was born in Santa Fe, N.M., and came to Raymond when she was 12 to visit her aunt and uncle. Her family decided to stay so she enrolled in Raymond Elementary School. She went on to graduate from Raymond High School in 1960.
