The jury trial setting for Dustin Gran, charged with first degree murder in the 2008 death of Krista-Rae Pike, has been postponed, according to Madera County District Attorney Michael Keitz.

Gran, 24, of Madera, is to be tried in Stanislaus County Superior Court. The trial was moved out of Madera County because of what the defense called too much pre-trial publicity.

In a trial setting Monday, Stanislaus Judge Marie Silveira postponed the trial setting until March 18.

Gran’s trial was set to start in Sept. 24, 2011, but Silveira cancelled the trial date and each subsequent trial setting has been postponed.
