Fugitive twins arrested

Authorities arrested twin brothers, Russell and Robert Letsinger, 42, Monday for allegedly trying to scrap a stolen trailer. Both, it turned out, had existing warrants. Russell, who maintains a home in Madera County, was wanted on $20,000 warrant for theft in Madera.

Robert, who has a home with his brother in Madera and a second in Fresno, was wanted on seven felony warrants: three for narcotics, two for petty theft (with a prior) and two more for burglary (one of which was identity theft and possession of stolen property).

At 10:24 a.m. Monday, a local alerted authorities to a suspicious red pickup in the area of Avenue 21 and Road 31 and hauling a black trailer.

While deputies headed to Avenue 21 and Road 31 to check out the lead, they received a second tip that the same red pickup was now at a recycler...
