Friant water allocation to be discussed

A water rally and informational meeting will be held tonight at 6 o’clock in the Dairy Pavilion of the International Agri-Center in Tulare.

A free dinner will be served to the first 1,000 attendees to arrive at the agri-center, 4500 S. Laspina St., beginning at 5 p.m.

Water officials will discuss the current drought’s damaging zero-supply impacts on the San Joaquin Valley’s east side, organizers say.

Water experts, including Friant Water Authority leaders, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation regional director David Murillo and State Water Resources Control Board member Dorene D’Adamo will discuss the latest water supply and operational information available...
