Free bicycle safety day planned

The Madera Sunrise Rotary Club, Madera Police Department, Walmart and volunteers will be helping Madera youth in need receive bicycles this weekend.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at James Madison Elementary School at Olive Avenue and Stadium Road.

According to Madison principal Aurora Chavez, the school is a collection site for used bicycles that are given to those in need.
