A report of suspicious activity to police resulted in the arrest of four local young men Thursday morning and may have put a major burglary ring operating in Madera out of commission.
Anthony Gomez, 19, and David Ramos, 19, both of Madera, along with two 17-year-old males were arrested and charged with felony burglary, and possession of stolen property, after they were seen fleeing a house on Hazel Avenue, near Avenue 13.
Two loaded handguns were found in their vehicle, according to Madera police patrol Sgt. Tom Burns.
“We have had 67 residential burglaries in the last 30 days, which is unusual and a large spike (in crime for Madera),” Burns said...
